Speaker’s Office Rejects Rep. Fofana’s Claim

The office of House Speaker Emmanuel Nuquay has described as false and misleading assertions by Margibi County District 4 Representative Ben Fofana that the Unity Party’s support in the county was diminishing on account of the selection of Speaker Nuquay as the Party’s Vice Standard Bearer.
Speaker Nuquay’s Chief of Staff Eric said, contrary to Mr. Fofana’s assertion, support for the Unity in Margibi swelling and that Margibians are upbeat and enthusiastic about the Boakai-Nuquay Ticket and have pledged to elect Ambassador Boakai and Speaker Nuquay on October 10.
Mr. Kennedy said, Speaker Nuquay is not deterred by Mr. Fofana’s false claim but was constrained to set the record straight so as not to allow Mr. Fofana and his likes to misinform the electorates about unfolding development in the county.
Mr. Kennedy said, the Unity Party’s Vice Standard Bearer has become a rising star in these elections that has launched a vigorous campaign that will ensure victory and this is sending shocks in the spines of the opposition and the only alternative they have is to resort to mediocrity and falsehood.
It can be recalled that Representative Fofana granted an interview to Truth FM on Monday in which he insinuated that he was finding it difficult to campaign for the Unity Party because of Speaker Nuquay.
Meanwhile, Speaker Nuquay has reiterated his unflinching commitment to working with Vice President Joseph Boakai in fostering the transformation and developmental agenda of Liberia.
