Citizens of Foya Statutory District, Lofa County have lauded President George M. Weah for the appointment of their kinsman Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah as Liberia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Permanent Representative to the United Nations with accreditation to Cuba.
The Foya citizens said it is the first time for a Kissi man to be given such high-profiled job to represent the country at the world headquarters.
The Foya citizens, speaking through the Statutory District Superintendent J. Clarence T. Sandie, Jr. also extended their gratitude to Mr. Mulbah K. Morlu, Chairman of the governing Coalition for Democracy Change (CDC) and the esteemed members of the National Executive Committee.
According to a press release, the citizens believe that the appointment of Ambassador Kemayah by President Weah further signifies that the President is a true reconciler and one whose passion for a new Liberia remains a number one priority through the Government of the CDC.
As the same time, the Foya citizens lauded the President for appointment of other citizens from the county.
The Foya citizens then cautioned Ambassador Kemayah and others appointed from the county into positions of trust to serve diligently and live up to the confidence reposed in them by the President and Liberians at large.
Before his appointment Amb. Kemayah served as Deputy Ministry of Foreign Affairs Republic of Liberia. In January 22, 2018 he become Political Leader and national Chairman of Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE). Mr. Kemayah holds Master of Arts degree in Development Studies with honor from the University of Uganda Martyrs University and also Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) from the University of Liberia.
