The Harvard Ministerial Leadership Program has selected Liberia’s Finance and Development Planning Minister Samuel Tweah to share his “demonstrated leadership experience” at a ministerial roundtable on human development policy and innovation on November 25-27, 2018 in Johannesburg South Africa.
Minister Tweah will be a part of a select group of approximately 15 serving finance, economic planning, education, health and youth ministers coupled with a similar number of young African leaders who the Harvard Ministerial roundtable is courting for ideas.
“You have been selected for invitation because of your demonstrated leadership, experience in office and thoughtfulness on the issues that are the focus of this high-level initiative, a communication from the Harvard Advisory Board said.
The forum aims to combine far-thinking political leaders with smart young Africans, leading the way for their generation to develop substantive ideas for innovation in human development policy and fresh approaches to major challenges impeding prospect for demographic dividend and developing more effective approaches for job creation and youth empowerment.
“A key objective is to inform and inspire opportunities for participating ministers to implement and scale-up innovative policy initiatives and investments to better ensure appropriately educated, healthy, productive young people,” the board said in a letter dated August 21, 2018.
