The Liberia Nationals Police says it has arrested six men in possession of several terroristic weapons including 13 hand grenade bombs, AK-47 raffles and four magazines loaded with 82 bullets, 1 pistol, single barrel short gun with 8 bullets and cutlasses.
Moses Carter police spokesman addressing a news conference on Monday, July 30, 2018 said the men were nabbed between July 13-22, 2018 this year after several residents from the VOA Gulf Community on the Robert field highway, Sinkor and Du-port Road complaint of being victimized by the suspects using deadly weapons.
Mr. Carter said the men forcibly entered the homes of their victims placed them under gunpoint, threatened to kill them and discharged firearms before making away with their properties and cash.
He identified the armed robbery suspects as Kessely Mulbah, William Smith, Samson Willie, Emmanuel S. Kanneh, Prince Kamara and Kingsly Uzozee.
According to the police spokesman, the suspects voluntarily admitted to their involvement into series of armed robbery activities in Monrovia and its environs.
He said the men have been charged with multiple crimes including armed robbery and criminal conspiracy which is in violation of chapter 10 and 15 of the penal code of Liberia. They are expected to be forwarded to court on Wednesday of this week to face trial.
