RIA New Terminal Nears Completion


The new terminal building at the Roberts International Airport (RIA) will soon be completed according to experts working at the facility.

The 5070m2 terminal building includes supporting facilities such as power substation, pump station and sewage treatment station.

Partners collaborating in the construction works comprises of the Liberia Airport Authority, Ministry of Finance & Development Planning, Project Management – Project Implementation Unit, Site Supervision – WSP Africa Group (WSP), Contractor – China Habour Engineering Company Limited.

This project construction team continues to conjoin expertise in managing and executing the works under the “One Team One Goal” approach.

On June 13, 2018 a three-man delegation, headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Liberia Airport Authority, Bishop John Allen Klayee, departed Liberia for the Peoples’ Republic of China to tour and inspect furniture and equipment for the new passenger terminal. Other members of the delegation were RIA’s Chief Financial Officer, George D. Yuoh and Terminal/Runway Projects Implementation Manager, Anthony Togba. The delegation returned on June 27, 2018.
