As part of its corporate social responsibility, the management of CEMENCO says it has assisted the first lady of Liberia, Madam Clar Weah with blocks for the construction of an old folks home in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.
Mr. Robert O. Marshall, Logistics and Shipping manager of CEMENCO told reporters the company has also provided five hundred bags of cement to the Liberia National Police for the construction of a demarcation wall to decongest the traffic from Caldwell to area where the Monrovia Breweries is located.
Other corporate social responsibility initiatives included provision of cement to a community youth drainage construction project in Paynesville and to the Liberian Red Cross to assist in the construction of a warehouse for disaster management program.
Marshall said CEMENCO has also assisted the Liberian Nurses Association with block and cement to the national nurses headquarters.
In 2017, he indicated that CEMENCO alone provided training opportunities for interns for Booker Washington Institute (BWI) and Liberia Opportunities Industrial Center (LOIC) in electricity, welding and mechanics as well as scholarship to various universities through District #13 Representative Saah Joseph.
