Man Gets Life Sentence for Ritualistic Killing


The 12th Judicial Circuit Court in Barclayville City, Grand Kru County has sentenced to life imprisonment defendant James Nimene for his involvement in the gruesome murder of a man and extraction of his parts for ritualistic purpose.
“It is the final judgment of this honorable court that the unanimous guilty verdict of the jury is hereby confirmed. Defendant James Nimene is hereby guilty for the crime of murder and is hereby sentenced to life imprisonment,” Judge Peter W. Gbenewelleh ruled.
Prior to his jail sentence, the defendant along with two others (Augustine Blay & Francis Seekey) committed the crime of murder aa the result of the death of Alfred Gray in Civilize Village in Jroah Statutory District, Grand Kru County.
The defendant along with his colleagues on Thursday, August 10, 2017 between the hours of 5-6 PM wickedly truck the defendant with a stick at the back of his head, killed the victim and extracted his parts.
Defendant Nimene said he was convinced by his friends to commit the crime and for a reward in cash of U$10,000 and a motorbike.
Meanwhile, the court also sentenced defendant Augustine Blay to ten years imprisonment because of his admission to the crime while the other Francis Seekey died in jail.
