In respond to promises it made to Liberia, the K3Telcom Liberia Incorporated has begun empowering Liberians in the field of Internet usage.
Making the disclosure yesterday at program marking the one-year anniversary of the company, Uros Makar, CEO K3 Telecom AG Switzerland, said the company would start its new internship program of taking at lease 10 Liberians on scholarship.
He said the selected people would acquire new skills in technical, commercial and financial fields.
The training program he said will last for two months, after which it can be renewed depending on the success of the program.
He said successful trainees would have a better chance in empowerment and a better and brighter future ahead of them with their newly developed skills.
The company he said the company will also extend its broadband service to other parts of Montesrrado County as of this year.
Currently the company’s cover includes, OAU Village, New Kru Town, Bushrod Island, Caldwell, Chocolate City, Ducor Hill and Sinkor.
Mohammed Nasrallah, The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company said, “In the coming weeks ad months, the K3 Telecom Liberia network will be further upgrading and expanding the coverage to broader Monrovia Area.”
He added that since the establishment of the company one year ago a lot has happened and a lot has been achieved over the period.
Mr. Nasrallah recalled that since establishment, the company continues to provide Internet, television, and telephone service to its many customers across Montserrado County.
Uros Makar, said “Africa is changing fact. Very soon in Africa, things will never be t same as it was before. And we want to be part of this change.”
He added: “We want to change the quality of life for the African people. Internet is like, everyone observes access to broadband Internet.”
