A resident of Bussy Quarters was Monday morning was found hanging after being electrocuted when he attempted to steal power in the community.
According to eyewitnesses, the late Kollie was asked by one of the residents whose identity was not disclosed to connect him to the power after the light from the Liberian Electricity Corporation (LEC) went off.
When Kollie went up the pole to connect the person, it was at that point that the LEC light came on and electrocuted him to death.
Police and LEC field workers were on the scene to remove the body of Emmanuel Kollie from the light-pole.
This is the third time Central Monrovia has experienced fatal power theft.
The first incident occurred within the Johnson Street Community, the second in West Point, causing the death of two people at various times.
