15 Police Officers dismissed
Police Wednesday confirmed the dismissal of 15 officers for failing to report to work.
Police spokesman Sam Collins informed New Democrat Newspaper that the officers were dismissed from the service for constantly being absent from job without an official leave.
Mr. Collins said the officers’ action was in violation of Chapter III Section 1.12, 14 and 21 of the New Police Duty Manual captioned “prohibited conduct”.
Those dismissed were ACP George E. Tamba, Capt. Tweh-Max William, Patrolman Moses M. Flomo, Patrolman Anthony G. Morris, Patrolman Lucia L. Vakona, Patrolman Ftzgerald J. Smith, Patrolman Wehyee Myers and Patrolman Dweh F. Konowe.
Others were Patrolman Will A. Duo, Patrolman Mohammed A. Kaba, Patrolman Rene T. Juwle, Patrolman Ruben S. Dus, Patrolman John E. Harvey and Patrolman Sam D. Howard.
“The affected officers have been mandated to turn over all government properties in their possession with immediate effect, meaning they are no longer in the employ of the Liberia National Police. Anyone doing business with the dismissed personals of the LNP as Police officers will be doing it at their own risk”, the police spokesman stressed.
